Dr. Shiva Ghaed Ph.D, M.P.H., has been a practicing clinical psychologist for over 15 years with 30 years of experience in clinical research. She is a survivor of the Route 91 mass shooting. Because she had the tools to heal within from this traumatic event, she quickly realized that victims of horrific events do not have access to said tools. This inspired her to launch a trauma and healing website with other Route 91 victims, Love Expands, that she contributes to regularly. She has written multiple peer reviewed publications and guides focused on recovery from trauma. In 2018, she was honored by The American Red Cross Society for being an American Hero, for the role she played in helping heal her community and save the lives of other concert-goers that were present on that day.
