Join YBH for the opening night of “I SEE YOU” a collaborative exhibit by Amel Janae and The Roc Shop.

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness month, artist Amel Janae and Nic Roc of The Roc Shop explore the process of healing through self-reflection, using fine art and poetry. Amel’s oil-painted mirrors will be accompanied by etched mirrors featuring positive stories, poetry and letters to self, contributed by community members.

In addition to the art opening, there will be interactive displays and crafts, including a DIY t-shirt station with empowering iron-on messages.

Please note that this will be an exhibit that provides awareness and information on prevention. Such information may cause discomfort or bring to surface some intense feelings. Please know that YBH is a safe space and we encourage any of our attendees to use the space as a form of healing and, if ready, to talk through your emotions with other attendees.
